Privacy Policy

Who I Am

I’m a person who makes art because I feel called to do so. Legally, what I do is considered a hobby rather than a business. My art sales cover some of my expenses and raise funds for causes I care about, but I don’t make a profit; that’s not my goal. You can contact me using the information at the bottom of this page.

Privacy Policy

When you share your personal information with me, I am responsible for preserving your privacy. This privacy statement tells you what happens to the information I collect from you. By using my website or buying art from me online, you agree to its terms and conditions.

If I change the policy in the future, I’ll post the revised policy here and change the “Last Updated” date at the bottom of this page. If I ever need to make a significant change, I’ll post a prominent note on this website’s home page and email you if you’ve signed up for my email list.

If you don’t agree with any part of this privacy policy, you should clear all cookies from your browser and stop using this website. Your use of my website following any changes to my posted privacy policy serves as your agreement that all information I collect from or about you through this website is subject to the terms of this privacy policy.

If I offer you the ability to connect with my website through a mobile application or via a mobile-optimized website, the provisions of this policy apply to all such mobile access and use of mobile devices. Any such mobile applications or mobile-optimized websites will refer to this policy.

I keep and have access to only the personal information that you voluntarily give me when you:

  • connect with me by phone, text, email, or a form on this website
  • purchase art from me
  • interact with the website
  • subscribe or otherwise affirmatively request to receive my blog posts or newsletter, or
  • respond to a survey or other direct request for information.

What Information I Collect From You

I collect only the information necessary to carry out agreed-upon transactions and provide the artwork and information you request. The personal information I collect as a result of your interactions with me may include your:

  • name
  • email address
  • home address
  • billing address
  • phone number
  • names and information of others for whom you have purchased artwork
  • payment (I don’t store any credit card information), or
  • opinions or preferences when we communicate.

I also reserve the right to gather anonymous data from your use of my website, such as browser information, Internet Service Provider (ISP), operating system, Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, or other device identifiers, such as location and date/time stamp.

How I Use Information I Collect From You

I use information about you in different ways—for example, to fulfill any artwork purchase you make and to provide information about upcoming events and new developments. To comply with data protection laws, I make sure that my use of your personal information is within legal grounds, including the performance of contracts, meeting legal obligations, making decisions about how to run this website, and keeping in touch with you, including sending you marketing materials with your prior consent.

For the performance of a contract. When you purchase artwork, I see but do not store the personal information shared with me by payment providers. I don’t store any payment information after your purchase is complete. I may also share your personal information with shipping services—for example, USPS, UPS, or a printing company, as needed to ship artwork to you. I may also use your personal information to provide customer service and answer questions about the status of a purchase.

To inform you. If I have your consent, I will email you to provide information, including promotional materials. I share your personal information with MailChimp, an email marketing service that helps me deliver emails to you. As provided below, you may unsubscribe at any time.

For legitimate practical reasons. To improve your experience with my website, it’s conceivable that I may use your personal information to:

  • help you access and use the website
  • send you service or support messages and updates
  • operate, protect, improve, and optimize the website and your purchasing experience—for example, by performing analytics to assess how a sales page is working
  • track usage statistics on my website by measuring the relevance of my content and learning about your preferences
  • administer surveys or promotional activities, and
  • monitor website traffic and volume.

For safety and security. I may use your information to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity or conduct security investigations and risk assessments.

To meet my legal obligations and protect my legal rights. When the law requires or when I believe it is necessary to protect my legal rights, interests, and the interests of others, I may use personal information in connection with legal claims and compliance and for regulatory and audit purposes.

When your personal information is anonymous, I do not require a legal basis to use it because it does not constitute personal information under applicable data protection laws. The use of anonymized or de-identified data is not subject to this policy.

When I Share Your Information With Third Parties

As noted above, I may transfer personal information to a third party when necessary to provide services you request, such as a shipping company to fulfill your print order and an email service provider to send you emails to which you’ve consented. These third parties may not use or disclose your personal information for any reason other than processing. They must also use security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of your data.

I will never sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

If my website includes third-party advertising or links to other websites, I will not provide any personally identifiable information to these advertisers or third-party websites without your express consent.

I have no control over the privacy practices of sites outside my domain. If you follow a link to another website, please read that site’s privacy policy.

Finally, I reserve the right to disclose your personal information as required by law, and as necessary to protect my property, interests, and legal rights.
